Sniker first joined the organization of Braves as a free agent in 1977. He succeeded within 20 seasons in the minor leagues, having passed 1301-1.309. He won the manager of the year in 1999 and 2000 with Myrtle Beach Single-a.
He won the National League -Manager of the Year with Braves in 2018 and was four times the finalist of this award.
