The Hoddle of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur news and links for Monday, December 1

Good morning and welcome to another edition of our Monthly Look at the Month ahead, where your chief hodler looks at what's in store for the Tottenham men's and women's teams over the next month. Let's get to it:

Tottenham Hotspur men's squad:

Where will Spurs go after this performance against Fulham on Saturday? A trip to St James's Park, which begins an important stage of the games.

Newcastle is the first of six games Tottenham will play this month. If you can't watch Tottenham right now (and I'm not sure I blame you), then take this as an opportunity to figure out which days to actively avoid the club.

Holiday games usually feel festive, but I'm not sure how fun the atmosphere is at Tottenham right now – and these games may not be the games to get Spurs on the right track. They play a Liverpool team that could be turning around after a poor start to the season, as well as Palace and Brentford teams who have exceeded expectations this year. And then, of course, a trip to Nottingham Forest.

In between these matches is another Champions League game, this time against Slavia Prague. This is a big, big chance for Tottenham to cement their place in the top 24 and, who knows, maybe even their best chance to reach the round of 16. But this is Tottenham and I know it's wrong to think so far ahead.

However, this appears to be a crucial month for Thomas Frank's team, whose relationship with fans is deteriorating.

Schedule: Newcastle (December 2); Brentford (6 December); Slavia Prague (December 9, Champions League); at Nottingham Forest (December 14); Liverpool (20 December); at the palace (December 28)

Tottenham Hotspur women's squad:

It's also another big month for the women's team, who will face Manchester United twice, both away from home. First, an away match in the Women's Super League, and then a quarter-final match. I think it will be a great test for a team that has bounced back from last year and is currently fifth in the table.
