McLaughlin-Levrone has been undefeated in both the 400m and 400m hurdles for two years. Her winning streak in this event is 24 runs.
She won the 400m at the World Championships in Tokyo, breaking the 42-year-old championship record and setting the second fastest time ever. This made her the first athlete to win world titles in the 400m and 400m hurdles.
“The culmination of the season in Tokyo was a really special moment,” McLaughlin-Levrone said. “I am so grateful to everyone who supported, watched, voted and was there throughout this entire process.
