One Atlanta zip code is one of the top 10 places in the country to move, according to a recent report.
The 30346 zip code in north Atlanta has the ninth-highest rate of new arrivals per capita in the country, with 9.5 moves per 1,000 residents, according to The Hottest Zip Codes Report for November 2025. MovingPlace.
The report highlights the appeal of the 30346 ZIP code for workers who prefer proximity to northern Atlanta business hubs such as the Perimeter Center and major office parks. The area also offers easy access to the high-end shopping of Perimeter Mall, making it an attractive option for young professionals looking for convenience without having to live downtown.
Texas dominates the list in terms of per capita movement, with ZIP codes Dale (78616), Lavon (75166) and Maxwell (78656) leading the way. Based on total moving volume, five Texas ZIP codes—New Braunfels (78130), Leander (78641), Cypress (77433), McKinney (75071) and Katy (77493)—rank among the top 10 in the country.
The 20002 ZIP code in Washington, D.C., led the nation in total moves, with 370 new adults arriving in October, driven by rising rents and proximity to the city. Sun Belt states including Florida, Texas and Tennessee are seeing the most significant migration: Port St. Lucie, Florida (34,987), more than doubling the number of moves from the previous month.
Several zip codes saw a notable month-over-month uptick in moves, such as Eugene, OR (97402, 97401), Sioux Falls, SD (57108) and San Antonio, TX (78251).
