Inside a viral montage of humanoid robot Optimus
Musk posted a 38-second video on his X profile, which was originally created by Alex Utopia and shows Tesla's humanoid robots performing a variety of daily tasks. Since Musk posted the clip, it has received more than 58.5 million views.
The montage shows Optimus walking down the street. Next comes the construction site where the robot supports the workers. The clip cuts to a scene of Optimus providing emergency aid during a disaster training exercise. You then see Optimus in the judo gym sparring with the trainer.
After this, the robot appears on city police patrol. The tone changes again when Optimus finds himself in a casino dealing cards at a blackjack table. He is then seen walking along the beach and is later shown in a restaurant kitchen preparing food under the guidance of professional chefs. The final shot shows Optimus back in the casino at the roulette table.
Musk has already shown Optimus folding laundry and walking in earlier demos. He keeps cropping humanoid robots as a solution to the problem of labor shortage associated with declining birth rates.

Musk's bold prediction for a robot-driven economy
Shortly after the video was published, Musk spoke at the US-Saudi investment forum, where he said that humanoid robots will change society. According to Musk, work will turn from a necessity into a hobby. He compared his future job to gardening for fun rather than buying vegetables at the store.
Musk said he expects money to become irrelevant as artificial intelligence and robotics is developing. He also stated that humanoid robots will be the biggest product in history. In his opinion, there is one clear path to universal wealth. He said artificial intelligence and robotics could eliminate poverty and allow people to choose jobs only when they bring them joy.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang offered a more cautious view. He agreed that jobs will change, but noted that currency will continue to matter for the foreseeable future.

What does this mean for you
The world that Elon Musk describes raises big questions about everyday life. Robots that can cook, build, and respond to emergencies have the potential to transform our communities. They can also change what people consider valuable work. Even if full robot integration is still several years away, companies like Tesla are already starting to show how quickly this technology can advance. You may not see Optimus on your street yet, but the direction is clear and the pace is fast.

Kurt's key takeaways
The montage video Musk posted further drew attention to the conversation about humanoid robots. The video shows how close companies like Tesla want us to be to a future filled with robots that move, react and work with us. Reactions range from excitement to actual concern, showing how uneasy many feel in a world created by machines that can cook, patrol and even respond to emergencies. The speed of this progress is difficult to ignore. Each new video hints at a future in which robots will perform more everyday tasks and take over jobs that once required human hands. Whether this future is promising or troubling will depend on how we prepare for it and how much control we maintain as this technology develops.
