comedian Sebastian Maniscalco may not (yet) have Saturday Night Live He's had hosting under his belt, but he has something equally desirable – a conscientious impression. The comedian, known for his physical comedy style and exaggerated speech, reacted to Marcello Hernandez's a recent parody of itcalling the sketch of the same name flattering.
In the preview video upcoming appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show December 2Maniscalco said, “He did a great job. I was very flattered that they did it. He actually called me on the Thursday before the show and said, “Do you want to come and do a cameo at the end of the show?” I couldn’t do it because I was in Palm Springs, but I think the guy did a fantastic job.”
Bookmaker The actor noted that his skit was “absolutely in love.” Although he has never hosted the show, Maniscalco joked that Barrymore could help him as a member of the Five O'Clock Club (the actress has hosted the show six times). “I’m here today to file a petition—and maybe you could help me,” he said. “You're taking up all the seats!”
Farrier gave similar comments to Complex in an interview associated with his release Hulu's latest special, This is wrong.
“The first thing I noticed was, do they think I'm so grey? I thought the gray was a little over the top,” he said.
The comedian, who ranks among the world's top box-office grossers, praised Hernandez for really going for it in terms of the physicality of his act, saying he “really had fun” with his “over-the-top delivery of physical humor.”
He continued: “That was my favorite part: all the stepping, the jumping. And I actually talked to Marcello via text message and said, 'Man, I wish I could jump like that.'
Maniscalco explained that “that video got him more attention than any other video I've ever done. If we could just let people continue to imitate me, I think everything would be fine,” joking that “the problem is that I'm in it.”
In a viral SNL sketch, which debuted on November 15, host Glen Powell's bachelor party is thrown into disarray when he invites an old pal to join the rest of the boys, warning his friends that the acquaintance is none other than world-famous stand-up Maniscalco.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Maniscalco. commented about his initial repost of the parody shortly after its release.
SNL is currently on holiday and returns for a three week run in December starting this Saturday.
