Children and adults were shot
Heather Brent, a sheriff's office spokeswoman, said the victims included children and adults, with early indications suggesting it may have been a targeted incident.
“This is a very active and ongoing investigation and information remains limited,” Brent said during a news conference, according to the outlet. CNN.
Authorities say the suspect in the shooting is still at large and detectives are working to determine a possible motive.

“If you have any information about this individual, contact him immediately. If you are this individual, turn yourself in immediately,” San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas said during a news conference.
Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi said Thanksgiving weekend should be a time for families to come together and celebrate. However, “paradise became a little bigger with people, children and adults, who, unfortunately, did not make it there.”
Shooting 'unacceptable'
Fugazi called the shooting “unacceptable,” while noting that “Stockton is better than this.”
“Tonight our city is faced with a heartbreaking and painful situation,” Fugazi said. “Please keep the victims, their loved ones and our first responders in your prayers.”
Authorities did not immediately provide additional information about the condition of the victims.
Stockton is located approximately 40 miles south of Sacramento.
