- The OnePlus 15R will have a huge 8300mAh battery.
- Expect a cheaper, stripped-down version of the OnePlus 15.
- The phone will be presented on December 17th.
You can see from our OnePlus 15 Review that we were very impressed with OnePlus' latest phone, giving it a rare five out of five stars rating, and now rumors are swirling that the brand's next phone will raise the bar for battery capacity.
According to OnePlus CEO Li Jie Louis, Weibo (by using Android authority), OnePlus 15R (known as OnePlus Ace 6T in China) will be equipped with a huge 8300mAh battery, which should provide ample time between charges.
This is even larger than the OnePlus 15's 7,300mAh battery capacity and outperforms most other smartphones on the market. Tubes it's really higher Typically, these are massive and durable devices designed for outdoor and remote use.
According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 15R will come with 100W charging. That's not quite as much as the 120W you get with the OnePlus 15, but it should still mean the phone can charge very quickly indeed.
Previous OnePlus variants
OnePlus hasn't always been consistent with its phone options, but last time we had both options: OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 13T as more affordable companions OnePlus 13 for those who wanted to spend a little less.
Both R and T variants tend to cut back on features to keep the price down, while the T version also tends to be smaller. International availability of these phones has historically been limited, although the OnePlus 13R launched globally.
It looks like the OnePlus 15R will be sold outside of China, although we're still waiting for details. We know it's coming launched on Wednesday, December 17with a high level of water and dust protection.
OnePlus started teasing the phone earlier this monthand should cost about the same as the OnePlus 13R: $599/£679 (these phones can't be bought in Australia). Of course, we will inform you as soon as we receive all the details.
