Problems with Canada

I'm a proud Canadian, but Canada is not the “best country in the world” because its citizens live in mediocre economic times. Saudi Arabia has two resources: sand and oil. Look at their shiny new cities and Canada's crumbling infrastructure across the country. This is despite our numerous sea and land resources which, under good management, should make Canada the richest in the world. Canadians have been sold a lot of goods because of the governments' “keep it in the ground” approach and that tourism and green energy will make us rich. What stupidity! Justin Trudeau's 10 year government spent billions of dollars on resource development, manufacturing, research and development and even caused a brain drain of highly skilled people in the US as we imported millions of unskilled people. The largest Canadian “industry” is the government, which earns nothing for the country and its people, but only takes away any wealth of its citizens. Other countries watching laughed at the Canadian government for undermining its economic prosperity. Canada has become an example for other countries of what NOT to do.

Age of Democracy
We must lower the voting age to zero. There is no reason why children should not have the right to participate in our democracy. Some people may argue that children are less intelligent, less mature, or less informed than adults, but have you met the average voter? Come on! If Karen, the anti-vaxxer, or Kevin, the flat-Earther, or Herbert, the octogenarian with dementia, are considered eligible to vote, then you cannot reasonably argue that children will do worse. This is such a double standard.

The Guru is gone!
Stephen Guilbeault resigned from the liberal faction. This alone makes this “Memorandum of Understanding” worthwhile.

Too much power
(BC Premier) David Eby is very similar to Nenshi and Singh. He wants to use tax dollars for the benefit of his people, and only his people, at the expense of all Canadians. He stands for British Columbia as if he stands for Quebec, at the expense of all Canadians. To refer to an earlier author: The British won the war! Why do we, including Eby, give so much power and autonomy to the French and indigenous peoples?
GEORGE EVERT
(This is an age-old debate. They should have a say in what happens on their land, but should that include the right to block a so-called “nation building” project?)
