Trump sinks chip shot in viral golf video after claiming 38 golf championships

NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!

President Donald Trump spoke openly about his 38 golf championships this week and showed why it could be on social media.

The 47th President was spotted on the golf course with LIFE Golf star Brooks Koepka, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and Fox News' Bret Baier in a video posted on Truth Social where he had a short chip on the green that he was lining up.

As the caddy pulled the pin out of the hole, Trump, after several rehearsed swings, stepped on his chip, and although it did not leave the ground, the trajectory of the ball was correct.

“Once!” said a fellow golfer as Trump and the rest of the greens watched the ball find its place at the bottom of the cup.

Trump walked away smiling after a nifty chip, seemingly feeling good on his way to the next hole.

“It’s always nice to win!” Trump signed his True Social post.

TRUMP SAYS BIDEN 'DON'T WANT TO SHOW UP' TO GOLF MATCH AND WOULD BURST FORMER PRESIDENT'S GAME

Trump posted the clip after another shot at former President Joe Biden's golf game on Thanksgiving Day while speaking to U.S. military personnel via video call.

One of the senior officials who spoke with Trump at the White House asked the 47th president what his “true golf flaw” was.

“You and President Biden are you going to play golf? – asked the foreman.

For context, Trump originally took photos of Biden playing golf during the June 27, 2024 presidential debate in Atlanta. A couple of weeks later, Trump challenged Biden to a golf match, saying that if he lost, he would give $1 million to charity.

Trump's response to the sergeant major was confident, saying he would “love” to take on Biden on the ties.

“I mean, I invited him, but he doesn’t want to come,” Trump said.

“A lot of people talk, but they can't play like Biden. Biden can't hit the ball 30 yards. I'm telling you, I watched him hit. He can't hit the ball 30 yards,” Trump said. “He said he had a handicap of six. That was the only thing that made me angry. During the debate with him, he said that he had a six. I said, “You’re not a six.” And he said, “Well, I have an eight.” I said, “That was fast. I took two. But he's not 100. He's not 100. But it's a great game and I hope you guys play it a little bit.”

Trump added that he “knows a lot about golf” and reviewed his career resume on the course.

“I've won 38 club championships and I don't have the opportunity to train much. I won one last year. I won the club championship at a big club, beating a 27-year-old guy. I said, you know, I'm decades older than you, but I said, “The fairway doesn't know how old you are when you're walking down the middle and he's in a tight spot.” I've been a good golfer for many years.”

Trump added that he has a “very low handicap,” although he did not give an exact number.

“I think I'm very… I should be par or better. I won by plus three. That's three better, three under par. If you look at it, for those who don't know, in the final of the club championship last year, with everything I've been through and no practice. So, I'm a good golfer,” he said.
