Black Friday weekend may not offer the same deals as before, but that doesn't mean you can't save money.
Just filmed Walmart knocks $500 off RTX 5070 pre-buildBest Buy has reduced the price by $250. Legion GO S in SteamOS packaging from Lenovobringing the $900 PDA down to $649.99.
This is a great price for a Lenovo laptop with SteamOS.
Is it worth the money? It comes with 32GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and the Z1 Extreme is a powerful machine that goes beyond the Steam Deck, but still has all the benefits that come with running SteamOS.
It also has a larger 8-inch display than Valve's machine, with a 1200p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Not only that, the Lenovo Legion S Z2 Go has become cheaper again: from $649.99 to $649.99. $449.99 same store.
Not as powerful as the above model, but technically it is more powerful than the Steam Deck and still offers SteamOS.
In our console review (or should it be PC?), James Archer noted that the system had some nifty magnetic joysticks and a performance boost over the Steam Deck, and was very pleased to see SteamOS freely available.
“Legion Go S proves that it's better than the slower, thicker, data-centric alternative that non-Valve handhelds have inherited from the desktop. It may not be the best of its kind, but it's an important standard-bearer and overall decent enough to at least not ruin the moment.”
