Miss Jamaica Health Update After She Fell Off Stage During Pageant

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry continues to receive treatment for her shocking fall from the stage during the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.

Raul Rocha, president of the Miss Universe Organization, shared a statement on November 24. on Instagram However, 28-year-old Henry was “in good health” and “close to being discharged” from the hospital.

In a moment that shocked viewers, Henry fell off the stage during the preliminary evening beauty pageant on November 19 in Thailand.

Rocha said the organization wanted to dispel “speculation” surrounding Henry's condition by providing a “clear and respectful update.”

“Out of respect for Dr. Henry and her family, the Organization maintains strict confidentiality regarding the specific details of her medical condition,” Rocha wrote. “We believe that matters regarding her health should only be communicated at appropriate times and at the sole discretion of the family or Dr. Henry herself if she so desires.”

Rocha said after the accident he made sure Henry received “immediate” medical attention.

“I personally went on stage to help her, coordinated emergency medical care and saw to her immediate transfer to the hospital,” he said. “I was present in the emergency room with her family, with whom I spoke directly.”

Rocha recommended “a number of precautions, some of which go beyond standard protocol, to ensure the most accurate assessment, monitoring and medical supervision.”

Henry was examined by “additional medical specialists,” each of whom offered their “professional assessment” to “provide complete clarity regarding her condition,” he added.

Rocha also stated that the Miss Universe Organization covered “one hundred percent” of the expenses Henry and her family incurred due to the accident, including the cost of hotel stays, airfare, transportation and staff to help the family while Henry recovered.

“There have been difficult moments and unexpected concerns over the past four days,” Rocha wrote. “However, thanks to the excellent medical care provided, each issue was successfully resolved.”

“Today we are pleased to announce that the latest medical report confirms that Dr. Gabriel Henry is in good health and close to being discharged,” Rocha added. “We will continue to convey only important information with professionalism, sensitivity and respect.”

Henry's horrific fall was seen in a video posted last week by Meekii Modez on the Meekii Modez website. Instagram.

In the video, Henry walks across the stage in high heels and an orange dress. Stopping to pose in front of the stage, she continues to the left where she falls off the edge of the stage and onto the ground.

The audience then quickly rushes to check on Henry.

Additional video that appeared online show people rushing to Henry's aid and taking her away on a stretcher.

Hours after the accident, the Miss Universe Jamaica organization released a statement regarding Instagram It said Henry was “rushed” to a nearby hospital, where medical workers reported she was “not suffering from any life-threatening injuries.”

“However, they are continuing to carry out tests to ensure her full recovery,” the organization added.

The statement also urged people to “remain optimistic, encourage (Henry) in prayer and send positive thoughts as she receives the medical care she needs.”

Rocha also shared preliminary information about his Instagram at the time to say that he had just visited Henry in the hospital.

“I was there with her family and her and luckily she has no broken bones and is being well cared for,” he wrote in part.

Henry's fall wasn't the only event making headlines at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, which kicked off on November 5.

Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch was seen in a viral video. getting into a heated exchange of opinions with pageant director Nawat Itzaragrisil after he criticized her for not participating in the competition's promotional activities.

Itzaragrisil, the national director of Miss Universe Thailand, later apologized to Bosch for the couple's tense interactions.

Bosch later became crowned Miss Universe 2025. November 20.
