Look at the fire
Starward Industries unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for Into the Fire today during this year's INDIE Live Expo. The showcase introduces new layers to the mining adventure, set on a remote island where a chain of volcanic eruptions transforms the landscape into a shifting realm of danger, ancient secrets and raw elemental power.
The trailer will offer a closer look at the intense rescue missions that define the experience. Scenes unfold through crumbling terrain, scorching heat and violent storms rising from the island's awakening core. Players rely on tough, retro-punk gear designed to withstand harsh conditions and overcome strange obstacles related to long-forgotten myths. These phenomena intensify as the disaster spreads across the surrounding islands, giving the world a sense of ancient memories rising through the smoke and ash.
Michal Obloj, marketing and business development manager for Starward Industries, describes the project as a tribute to systemic survival and myth-based storytelling mixed with the wild beauty of natural shocks. According to him, the new trailer aims to show how the environment reacts to every action, creating a lively scene where adaptation becomes necessary.
In addition to the presentation, Starward Industries is preparing another round of closed playtests for select community members on Discord, offering the opportunity to explore elements of the game ahead of its wider debut.
Into the Fire will be released in Early Access in 2026. The journey takes players into a realm shaped by fire, folklore, and an ever-unfolding apocalypse, where at every turn they must contend with a world that refuses to stay still.
