Gas prices in the state rose last week, reaching an average of $2.65 per gallon of regular fuel Monday, up from last week's price of $2.58 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
The state's average fuel price has risen about 9 cents since last month. Statewide gas prices last year were as low as $2.47 on Nov. 3, 2025, and as much as $2.86 on June 23, 2025, according to the EIA.
A year ago, the average gas price in Texas was 2% lower at $2.60 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline in the U.S. last week was $3.06, making prices in the state about 13.3% lower than the national average. The national average gas price was little changed from last week's average price of $3.06 per gallon.
