Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions In 2025, the rivalry belongs to the Cheeseheads.
Packers capped the season with a 31–24 victory on the road on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Green Bay was aggressive from the start, scoring a pair of touchdowns on fourth down in the first half. However, with 25 seconds left in the half, Jameson Williams ran for a 22-yard touchdown to bring Detroit within three, and the Lions had the ball to start the half.

The momentum was short-lived, however, as the Lions were unable to match the Packers' aggression. Jameer Gibbs was stopped on 4th-and-3, giving the Packers the ball near midfield. Only in the second play Jordan Love found Christian Watson for a 51-yard score to give Green Bay the lead, 24–14.
The Lions responded quickly, as Jared Goff connected with Isaac Teslaa for a touchdown to make it a three-point game again, but the Packers tied it with Dontaivion Weeks' second touchdown of the day.
Detroit was driving down the field on fourth down and went for it again, giving up fourth down in field goal range, but Jameson Williams, who was cooking with Amon-Ra St. Brown injured early, dropped what should have been a first down, giving the Packers the ball.

The Packers punted and Detroit drove again, thanks to a defensive penalty on a third-and-15 sack. However, they had to settle for a field goal. With an opportunity to punt, the Packers decided to punt on fourth down to ice the game, and Weeks came up with a stunning catch, well outside the sticks, to nearly end it. Love knelt for her eighth win of the season.
It was the first time the Packers won both games against Detroit in a season since 2020, and that will certainly be a factor in the playoff race.

Love threw four touchdowns, two of which went to Weeks. The others were to Christian Watson and Romeo Dubs.
The Packers are now 8-3-1, while Detroit is 7-5. Green Bay has another date with the NFC North next week when they host a tournament. Chicago Bears. Detroit will stay home to host the Dallas Cowboys.
