3 Paramount+ shows you should binge this weekend (November 28

I subscribe to a lot of streaming services, but… Paramount+ has saved me more times than I can count when I've been in the mood to watch a series that I can get through in a couple of sittings – not too long, but still juicy enough to get sucked into.

This weekend is a perfect example of that. With the second season creating a buzz, this is the perfect weekend to give Landman try it if you haven't already. This is one of Taylor Sheridan's best films. If you prefer to quickly binge-watch episodes of the iconic, heart-pounding comedy, or you have a darker, fantasy streak, I have two more recommendations that you'll also enjoy.

Landman

Paramount+ will surely miss the prolific talents of Taylor Sheridan when he moves to NBCUniversal in 2028. Yellowstone the creator is also responsible for P+ blockbusters. Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstownand the current topic of conversation, Landman, It's now the second season.

With only a few episodes left in season two, now is the time to start fresh with this series that follows the life of Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a hardened oil man who makes deals and negotiates with billionaires on behalf of the energy conglomerate M-Tex. But the cutthroat oil business is nothing compared to the chaos caused by Tommy's family, which includes his unpredictable ex-wife Angela (Ali Larter) and daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), who both know how to push Tommy's buttons. And if you want to see star power, Jon Hamm and Demi Moore also star, with Hamm playing greedy M-Tex founder Monty Miller and Moore as his ruthlessly ambitious wife Cami.

Fans Yellowstone Love Landman for its edgy, modern Western branding and stellar performances from its ensemble cast, with the first season offering explosive action and several surprising twists.

Chapelle Show

The legendary Dave Chappelle comedy show. Chappelle's Showmay have aired back in 2003, but since I've been binge-watching multiple episodes at once lately, I can report that it's still one of the best things the comedian has ever done. Two of the three seasons are available to stream on Paramount+, and the 22-minute episodes will have you on the floor.

Mixing stand-up segments, recurring characters and some of the best celebrity impressions ever created, Chappelle's ShowThe often over-the-top sketches take aim at everything from race to politics to pop culture figures, and they're absolutely brilliant, even nearly 20 years later. Chappelle himself has played so many characters in the series that it's hard to pick the best one. Some of the prominent people include Prince playing basketball, Super freak singer Rick James, drug addict Tyrone Biggums and hilariously exaggerated rapper Lil Jon (WHAT?! OK!).

Chappelle's Show also featured an impressive supporting cast and famous guests, including Eddie Murphy's late brother, Charlie, Snoop Dogg, Wayne Brady, John Mayer and Questlove. Chappelle's genius is present in every episode, and the series' endlessly quotable and memorable sketches will stay with you for another 20 years.

Penny is terrible

More than ten years have passed since then Penny is terrible It premiered on Showtime. I ate the darkness and seductive supernatural horror attributes, and I recently did it again—Paramount+ has all three binge-worthy seasons. Invented by the screenwriter Heavy rain, Sweeney Todd, Gladiator, and other famous hits, Penny is terrible is a beautiful interweaving of classic literary characters such as Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and Van Helsing, bringing them to life in a world filled with demons and monsters.

At the head of it all is the mysterious and slightly crazy Vanessa Ives (Casino RoyaleEva Green is a tortured medium who is hired by British explorer Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton) to find his missing daughter, who has been taken by something evil. The pair enlist American gunslinger Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) and Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) for their very specific skill sets, and together they battle witches, vampires and other hellish forces while unraveling the mystery.

It would be easy to spoil this curious mix of iconic characters, but Logan manages to do so with dignity and wit, allowing audiences to see them in new ways. The world he has created works and the performances are not overdone at all.
