Without a doubt, OLED technology provides the best picture quality you can find in a consumer TV, and fortunately, OLED TV prices have dropped significantly in 2025. By Black Friday, OLED TV prices from major brands – LG, Samsung and Sony – had dropped to their lowest prices of the year. Please note that some of these deals come and go, so double-check that your brand and size TV is currently available.

Samsung S90F 4K QD-OLED TV Black Friday deals
The S90F is the current generation (2025) model in Samsung's S90 line of OLED TVs. Compared to LG TVs, the Samsung S90F is comparable to the LG Evo C5. It features a quantum dot OLED panel, which is only found in higher-end Samsung TVs. QD OLED TVs are brighter and have a wider color gamut than traditional W-OLED TVs.
Sony Bravia XR8B 4K OLED TV Black Friday deals
Are you a die-hard Sony supporter? I can't blame you. After all, they're the ones who designed the PlayStation 5 console, so it makes sense that Sony TVs would be a great addition to the console (and that's true). The Sony Bravia XR8B is a 2025 release that will replace last year's XR8. It uses a W-OLED panel, so the picture quality is comparable to the Samsung S85F and LG B5 OLED TV models. Bravia 8 supports Video formats HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision and audio Dolby Atmos and DTS.
If you're looking for a high-end TV, choose OLED
Compared to any other type of TV, OLED TVs boast superior picture quality thanks to near-infinite black levels, near-infinite contrast ratios, and near-instant response times. This is by far the best type of TV for streaming 4K HDR content in its intended glory. OLED TVs were also ours Favorite TVs for console gaming because almost all of them have a native 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 inputs to run PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X games in 4K resolution at up to 120fps.
Size matters: Buy the biggest TV you can afford
This year, buyers are choosing larger TVs. Anyone who used to buy a 55-inch TV probably now wants to upgrade to a 65-inch TV, and even 77-inch TVs are becoming more common. Manufacturers are aware of this trend, and I expect the largest price reductions to occur in the 60- to 77-inch size range.
If you're looking to upgrade, my advice is to get the biggest TV that can still fit in your intended space and within your budget. One of the main reasons why people decide to upgrade is to get a larger TV, and a larger TV will be more future-proof. TV technology evolves at a relatively slow pace, and chances are, if you're happy with your TV's picture quality right now, you'll probably be happy with it in the long run. But size is another matter.
Gamers should look for TVs with these features
If you have a current-gen console, such as a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, make sure your new TV both 120Hz native refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 inputs. They are necessary to run games in 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second. Even in 2025, there will be quite a few budget TVs that don't have these features, so be sure to do your research thoroughly. If you're a gamer, it's definitely worth spending a little more on a TV that can take full advantage of your gaming experience.
Even though this is a current generation console, Nintendo Switch 2 has soft TV requirements compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When the Switch is docked and connected to a TV, it is only capable of outputting a 4K resolution signal at up to 60 frames per second. It can reach 120fps if the resolution drops to 1080p, but the bitrate required for both of these options is virtually the same, and you'd rather play any game in 4K.

The best deals I've found so far expect to see the lowest prices of the year during Black Friday. This means branded OLED TVs from LG, Samsung and Sony will likely drop to $1,199.99 (or less) for a 65-inch model and to $1,799.99 (or less) for a 77-inch model. Higher-end models with advanced features, such as the LG Evo or Samsung's quantum dot technology, will likely be heavily discounted as well.
