This happens thanks to User Bilibili who uploaded clips from their time playing at Marathon's October closed technical test. In the 132-minute videos, which are still available at the time of writing, we see Dire Marsh, Perimeter and Outpost, which are a mix of existing assets, now updated, and brand new additions.
The perimeter was tested in April and now looks much better compared to the available images and information from this session. It's more colorful, easier to maneuver, and overall looks sleeker. Outpost is a completely new option that's a little more intimate than the other two, and gets the player into intense firefights faster.
The Sniper, Shotgun, and Assault Rifle are all put to good use by the player, and each looks as useful as you'd expect. Marathon's bright, vibrant aesthetic is pleasing to the weapon, giving it a distinct flair on screen. The UI also looks clean and minimalistic, but given that this is all a work in progress, expect some or all of these elements to change at least a little between now and the next time you see the game in action.
