If you thought Legendary Rugal's admission in The King of Fighters AFK was big, wait until you hear what Netmarble has in store for the latest patch. The latest update brings out two of the biggest hitters in the Orochi saga. If you've been waiting for the series' most infamous villain to finally show up, this is essentially a buffet for lore buffs.
You've probably guessed that the main additions are Goenitz and Orochi, both of whom appear as legendary fighters. Goenitz, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, comes in with his signature wind manipulation and talent for causing trouble whenever Orochi needs a helping hand. Orochi himself, the head of the entire clan and the walking embodiment of supernatural disaster, acts as a premium summon unit, which seems quite dramatic.
You can pursue Goenitz during his event until December 10th while Orochi sits behind the Premium Summon Wall. There is also a separate [Rush] The Synergy Fighter Summon Event follows the same schedule, but with increased odds for Rush-tag fighters.
Since it's the holiday season, the update seamlessly transitions into the Black Friday event week from November 27th to December 3rd. Logins alone will earn you up to 500,000 rubies. There's also a ruby return event based on your past purchases, a boost event that directly affects premium summon attempts, and big discounts on things like Legendary Fighter Tickets and Fighter Tokens.
Events continue in December with the Lucky Elpy event (December 1-4) adding a new legendary supporter, Kim Dong-hwan, and the game's 100th anniversary celebration (December 4-17) introducing two very signature pets, Goenitcha and Ari-versari. There are more events scheduled throughout the month, so expect notifications to stay busy.
