Star of the series “Looking for a Sister-Wife” Garrick Merrifield was arrested on Monday for domestic violence against his wife… and now we've revealed explosive details of the dramatic incident, including a threat to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit obtained by TMZ, Garrick's wife, Larranatold police her husband took her phone during a heated argument, preventing her from contacting her family in Brazil.
Documents say Larrana told Garrick she wanted to call police, but he did not return her phone and threatened to call ICE. Larrana told police that she was scared because she was not familiar with all the laws, although she was in the country legally on a visa.
As a result, Larrana searched online for ways to contact law enforcement, which she believed Garrick knew about because he had deactivated the Wi-Fi on her devices.
Even though she didn't want Garrick arrested, police arrested him anyway on domestic violence charges, according to the affidavit.
Garrick and Larrana married in October 2024 and welcomed their daughter in July of this year.
He is in a polygamous relationship with his first wife. Danniel. They have three older children and officially divorced many years ago so that Garrick could marry two other women… both from Brazil.
We've reached out to Garrick for comment…no response yet.
