Sorry, there's a lot to unpack here. So there's a pop punk band from Los Angeles called People R Uglyand they wear these green overalls. They recently performed at Distorted Tour Orlando as a rowdy pop-punk band would have done in an era where this dangerous organization somehow returned without even blinking an eye.
Anyway, People R Ugly played a song called “4skin (Circ23)” which apparently was released back in 2022 (it's not on streaming services, but they posted a music video for it on YouTube last year); As you can guess from the title, we're talking about Canadian-born frontman Julian Delgrosso, who was circumcised at the age of 23, and why not?
Props are given where they're needed, because the band did just about the funniest thing possible to bring the song to life, live and uncut, at Warped Tour Orlando: They tracked down the Toronto doctor who performed Delgrosso's circumcision and brought him on stage.
Dr. Michael Kogon, a practicing urologist in Vaughan, came out in a scrubs and cap and, to everyone's surprise, picked up a bass guitar and played “4skin (Circ23)” with People R Ugly. If that weren't enough, Delgrosso explained that when they first posted the song online, everyone commented that it sounded like “1, 2, 3, 4.” plain white t shirtsso they also brought in Tom Higgenson to make a sort of collage out of it, singing the chorus Big bad world track.
For the curious, instead of “There's only one thing / To do / Three words / For you,” the chorus of People R Ugly takes a slightly different approach to arithmetic: “One skin / Two skins / Three skins / Where's my foreskin?” I think it's fair that some people have become harsh, but Higgenson doesn't seem to mind – of course nothing compares to The Gwana Delilla ExperienceAnyway.
Watch clips from the performance, as well as the video for “4skin (Circ23)” below. People R Ugly has other famous friends: Blink-182's Mark Hoppus appeared in the song's video “WAKE UP,” single from their recent album GARAGE.
