When I came home today and went to shovel the sidewalk, an army of schoolchildren armed with snow shovels was marching down the street, clearing the sidewalks. Many thanks to Mountain Park High School for giving back to the local community.

Fake review

These remember actions completely out of control. It amazes me that a so-called non-partisan organization like the Alberta Resistance can legitimately ridicule the democratic system. Consider, if you will, that people have six days to vote legally in a democratic election. Excludes mail-in voting, five days of opportunity to vote early and one day of actual voting at polling places. Don't like the results or are you just too lazy to turn off the TV and go vote? Don't worry, some left-wing organization funded by God knows who will lead a bogus recall effort and show up in your grocery store parking lot or even knock on your door asking for signatures to overturn the election results in your county. You won't miss a minute of your favorite TV show, and they have over a month to get you to sign. Voter apathy is not a weakness for these guys, it's a strength, and they're fully counting on it. They would love nothing more than to waste taxpayers' money by forcing by-elections and giving their preferred candidates another hit in the can. It's not their money that pays for this, it's yours.

Conflict oil still flows

Carney, in talks with Arab leaders, in a sense confirmed that the West-East pipeline proposed in Canada will never come to fruition, but oil from the conflict in the Middle East will still flow daily onto Canada's east coast. Tankers arrive daily on the East Coast to unload conflict oil in the Middle East. While on the West Coast, the NDP leader is holding back billions of future dollars for First Nations, telling them there is no BC pipeline. Pipelines benefit everyone in Canada. It's no surprise that the NDP votes poorly on taxes.
