The 2025 college football season has been full of twists and turns, and Week 14 will definitely give unexpected results. Fondly known as “Rivalry Week” in college football circles, this week once again brings unforgettable memories and important results.
We have a very busy Thanksgiving weekend and Friday and Saturday are filled to the brim with great matches and crucial contests. Limiting viewing to five games won't help this weekend, so I'm adding one more game to the watch list, perhaps the best group of games we've collectively seen in one week this season.

Of course our eyes will be on how Oklahoma Sooners perform in their mandatory game against LSU Tigers on Saturday, but this week will be a real treat for college football fans across the country.
So, sit back and enjoy it; here are the top six games to watch in week 14.
1. Ohio State at Michigan, Saturday, 11 a.m. CT.

Ohio State and Michigan will meet Saturday in “The Game” in one of college football's most iconic rivalries. Buckeyes They're undefeated this year and have a near-definite chance of making the College Football Playoff, but the Wolverines have won this game every time in the last four years. This match is always physical, and after the animosity over how last year's game ended, things get ugly early and often.

Ryan Day and the Buckeyes haven't been tested since Week 1 at home against Texas, playing a very light Big Ten schedule this year. That will change against Sherron Moore and the Wolverines, who bounced back from a pair of losses and have an opportunity to win the conference title game if things don't go their way. Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor will be absolutely stunning.
2. Texas A&M at Texas, Friday, 6:30 p.m. CT.

Texas A&M travels to face Texas in the “Lone Star Showdown” as the Aggies look to get revenge in Austin after Longhorns won on the road in College Station in 2024. Texas A&M is undefeated this year, essentially a CFP berth, while Texas struggled through a three-loss season in 2025. However, the return of this rivalry adds a great element to Rivalry Week as these in-state foes will face off in the final game of the regular season.

Mike Elko's Aggies are really good and are led by a solid defense. They were a good team last year that made it through their second year under his leadership. Meanwhile, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns put together an impressive offensive performance in a big win over Arkansas last week. They have a very long shot at making the playoffs, but they could have at least made the game interesting if they fell short on Friday night.

“Pure, old-fashioned hate” is what they call it when the Bulldogs face the Yellow Jackets, and last year's game was an absolute classic. Georgia prevailed in eight overtimes and Georgia Tech came so close to pulling off a big upset. This year's game will be played at a neutral site at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons), with a lot on the line for both teams.

As for Kirby Smart and Georgia, they are fighting for a first-round bye and possibly a spot in the SEC title game if things don't go their way. Neither is possible unless they can win on Friday. Georgia Tech and Brent Key really need this after last week's loss to Pittsburgh as they are no longer in the driver's seat to win the ACC title game. The winner of this game advances to the CFP, and the Bulldogs would love nothing more than to deny the Yellow Jackets that chance.
4. Vanderbilt at Tennessee, Saturday, 2:30 p.m. CT.
Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lee greets Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel after the game at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The Commodores and Volunteers give us another great state game this weekend, with both teams having successful seasons. The Dores are 9-2 with losses to Alabama and Texas, while the Vols are 8-3 with losses to Georgia, Alabama and Oklahoma. Vanderbilt is hoping that some chaos elsewhere can push them into consideration for a CFP bid, but they'll need to beat Tennessee to have any chance of doing that.

This game is a clash of styles, with Vandy's Clark Lee the mastermind on defense and UT's Josh Heupel the offensive savant. Both teams can climb the SEC standings with a win, with bowl game supremacy and state pride on the line. Two great veteran quarterbacks will also go head-to-head, with Diego Pavia and Joey Aguilar both starting at the junior college level before going head-to-head on Saturday.
5. Miami – Pittsburgh, Saturday, 11:00 central time.

It's not really a rivalry, but it is a key part of Week 14. The Hurricanes need a lot of help to make the ACC title game, and they'll also need a lot of help to make the CFP as a team overall. Miami is slowly climbing the rankings, but barring chaos ahead, Mario Cristobal's team may have to sneak into the conference championship game and win there to get into the bracket. It's still a long way off.

This is actually an easier path to the ACC title game for the Panthers. If Pat Narduzzi's team wins Saturday and sees either Virginia or SMU lose, it would put Pittsburgh in the conference title game, where a win would mean an automatic bid to the CFP. The caveat is that Pitt will have to win the league title game to make the playoffs, as their ranking is too low to have any chance of being a big team. The ACC is a mess, but this is the wild league game of the week.
6. Arizona in ArizonaFriday, 8:00 pm Central Time.

It's the Wildcats and Sun Devils in contention for the Territorial Cup in Week 14, where Arizona looks to hit the road to Tempe and avenge last year's home loss to Arizona State in Tucson. With one win in this game, Arizona could reach nine wins, which would indicate improvement under head coach Brent Brennan this year. They could also end Arizona State's chances of making it to the Big 12 title game.

As for the Sun Devils, they can return to the league title game if they beat the Wildcats, but they also need losses to BYU and Utah if Texas Tech beats West Virginia. Kenny Dillingham's team won the conference last year, and if they can do it again, they will earn an automatic bid to the CFP. Both of these teams go 8-3, so the winner will have bragging rights against each other and a better overall record. Rivalry week is great.
