Explore the dusty seas in DuneCrawl
Alientrap has announced that DuneCrawl will be coming to Steam on January 5, 2026, marking the debut of the next co-op adventure across the shifting, dusty seas. The studio imagines the game as a journey taken by a colossal crustacean and surrounded by a vibrant, hand-drawn desert, setting the tone for an expedition based on shared discovery.
DuneCrawl brings together one to four players in online or local co-op, acting as privateers. They'll have to roam the open sands aboard their towering Dune Crawler. This living vessel, bristling with cannons and littered with maps, becomes both vehicle and companion as crews venture deeper into vast areas of the desert.
The world unfolds through richly illustrated environments. Each piece of terrain hints at the ancient mystery of the origins of the dune crawlers. The towns seem to be hotbeds of life among the dunes, offering quests, advice and the occasional rumor. Players defend settlements from marauding bandits, search for hidden loot, and collect strange relics that float across quicksand.
The adventure branches off into side paths filled with armored scarab rides, forgotten ruins, and unexpected encounters that reward curiosity. Collaboration is at the heart of every trek as crews operate their guns and plot routes. And all this time they were building a reputation for themselves as capable filibusters who knew how to navigate the seven sands.
Hand-drawn, exploration-focused, and storytelling, DuneCrawl is gearing up to offer an expansive desert journey when it releases on Steam early in the new year.
