Kash Patel's FBI is joining the hunt for the so-called “Rebel Six,” signaling the administration's intent to take revenge on the six Democratic members of Congress who dared to tell soldiers they didn't have to obey illegal orders.
The FBI requested interviews with Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin, as well as Representatives Jason Crow, Maggie Goodlander, Chris Deluzio and Chrissy Houlahan – all military and intelligence veterans – for their participation in the infamous video in which they reminded the military that they swore an oath of allegiance to the US Constitution, not President Trump. The Trump administration considered this a betrayal. called for them to hangand is weighing whether to court-martial Kelly.
Six members of Congress have yet to respond to potential FBI interviews.
It is unclear when the interviews will take place or what exactly they entail. Anonymous Department of Justice Official said Reuters that the interview could be seen “If there are any violations, then get out of there.” The FBI has not yet commented on the interview, but one might assume that it will not be very friendly, given the Trump administration's rhetoric regarding the situation.
“The video made by the Rogue Six was despicable, reckless and false,” Hegseth. wrote Monday on his personal account X. “Encouraging our soldiers to ignore the orders of their commanders undermines all aspects of “good order and discipline.” Their stupid quarrel sows doubt and confusion, which only exposes our warriors to danger.”
