“My baby is dead. My son,” he shouts to the stunned policeman, pointing at his car.
The suspect is also seen walking towards police with his hands behind his back as he waits to be handcuffed.
What went down?
“We were road rage,” the suspect says in the video, tossing aside his jacket and turning to the officer.
“It's 100% my fault. I shot him, bro. I didn't even know there was a kid in the back,” he says as the father continues to plead with the officer to help his son.

The police officer heads toward a car with a dying boy lying behind it, although the screen is dark and the child's father cries in the background.
The video later shows the father lying on the ground before a police officer grabs his arm to comfort him.
How did the situation allegedly escalate?
Henderson Police Department said at a press conference that the incident allegedly began with a “verbal altercation” between two drivers after one car attempted to pass the other on the shoulder.
The situation escalated when the suspect fired a single shot into the vehicle, striking a boy sitting in the back seat.

The boy's stepfather then “rammed” the suspect's car into another vehicle, police said.
They both got out of their cars in the middle of the freeway and got into what was described as a “heated altercation” before a bystander was able to flag down police.
Emergency crews treated the boy before he was taken to hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
