Today is the official release day of the role-playing game Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, in which you will be able to control the limitless potential of the series' star Sung Jinwoo. It's available now on Steam and Xbox PC.
The game is set in the world of the globally popular Solo Leveling franchise, where supernaturally powerful Hunters fight to protect humanity from invading monsters. Most Hunters have a fixed power level, but Sung Jinwoo is unique in that he can level up. And his mission is to become the strongest Hunter in the world and the Ultimate Monarch of the Shadows.
You can guide him through this mission in Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE's story mode, which includes an adaptation of the original story as well as new adventures unique to the game. As the story progresses, you can customize his appearance, abilities, and playstyle.
His biggest strength is his versatility. He can learn anything and is constantly growing and developing. Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE puts the responsibility on you to determine that growth, including four starting career choices and a skill tree that allows for the flexibility to create your own playstyle.
He can wield several different weapon types, and you can switch between them on the fly to string together attacks and create combos. There are also time-based parries and dodges that you can use to negate or avoid damage and then launch counterattacks to keep the fight's momentum going.
Your playstyle will change depending on the combination of weapons and skills you choose, giving you the opportunity to try out many different styles and see what works for you. And by charging the Monarch Awakening Gauge, Song Jin-Woo can transform into his Shadow Monarch form, which has a completely different set of skills that can be used against enemies.
Song Jin Woo may be the main character, but he's not the only character you can play as. You'll recruit other Hunters that fans of the Solo Leveling series will recognize, each with their own personalities and abilities, and you'll be able to play as them in certain Hunter dungeons. You can also join up to three friends in co-op raids, pitting you against some of the series' most powerful commanders. In these raids, you can play as either Jin-Woo or one of the other available Hunters, and each of them has their own set of skills and attack patterns to master.
