Finnish co-developer Redhill Games has announced a restructuring program that will begin “in the near future.”
In a message published on LinkedInthe studio said the decision “will impact several [its] talented colleagues.”
How Game developer notes that the studio currently employs 70 employees both in Finland and Cyprus.
“We are committed to supporting them through this transition and encourage partners across the industry to contact us if you are looking for exceptional talent,” it said.
“In the coming period, we will continue to complete the remaining work and ensure a smooth transition for teams supporting multiple Supercell games.”
The developer continued: “We are deeply grateful to our team, shareholders and partners for their trust and support over the years. Launching our own free-to-play shooter, Nine to Five, has been a great journey.
“Following this, it has been an honor to contribute to the creation of iconic games enjoyed by millions of people, including Overwatch 2 and various unannounced titles.”
Redhill Games CEO Matthias Millirinn also commented on the decision, writing in separate post: “To all the wonderful people who poured their talent, creativity and heart into creating this studio – thank you. It has truly been an honor and pleasure to work alongside you through the ups and downs and create something meaningful together.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved, but even more proud of the character, resilience and spirit of this team.”
Redhill Games was founded in 2018 by Millirinnwho was former CEO of Remedytogether with Wargaming and Remedy CTO Mikko Uromo and Wargaming Development Director Milos Jerabek.
