Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker are splitting after 11 years of marriage.
In a statement to People, Burruss said she announced her departure from the producer.
“After deep thought and much prayer, I have decided to get a divorce,” she said. “This is a difficult and emotional time, but I remain focused on protecting my world, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
“I am entering a new chapter of my work, my family and my own growth,” she continued. “I am grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years and ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
Burruss and Tucker married in 2014 and have two young children, Ace and Blaze. The reality star is also the proud mom to 23-year-old daughter Riley, who she shares with her ex Russell “Block” Spencer. Tucker has a 29-year-old daughter, Kaela, whom he welcomed with his ex Kima Parker.
News of Burruss and Tucker's divorce comes a year after fans began speculating that they would go their separate ways. But in an interview in April 2024. Us weeklyBurruss denied the rumors.
She explained that people might have thought something was wrong in their marriage because of how passionately she and Tucker argued with each other on camera while filming content for their social media channels.
“We are passionate when we go back and forth. I think people mistook it for us being mad at each other. But we are (just) discussing the topic,” she said. “We discuss it all the time.”
“I've been like this all my life. Once we exchange back and forth, I can walk out of the room and say, “Okay, what do we do next?” Although I think those who watch it think it's more than that,” she added.
April 4, 2025 Burruss celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary with Tucker, sharing a sweet photo montage of them over the years while her song “Me & U” played in the background.
“Wow! I can't believe it's been 11 years since Me and You! @todd167 I love you sooo much!” she wrote the caption. “Let's continue to love, grow and shine together. Happy anniversary, baby!”
