Updated November 21: Amazon has stocks replenished the incredible Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition and it's back at the retailer. Black Friday Movie Sale for only $105. Horror fans should hurry because this box set sold out within hours of us publishing this story on November 16th. Read our original story below.
Shout Factory recently discontinued one of its best horror movie box sets, but there's still time to add it to your collection before it's gone forever. Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition is back in stock at Amazon with a huge 34% discount, bringing the price down to $105 (down from $160). Released in 2020 to rave reviews from fans and critics, this 16-disc Blu-ray box set is the only Friday the 13th collection to include all 12 films. The Amazon deal has you paying $8.75 per film, and that doesn't include a bunch of special features, a premium display case, and a collector's booklet.
During Amazon's Halloween Horror Sale, this box set was discounted to $124 and quickly sold out. The $105 price tag is the lowest price we've seen in years. And since Shout Factory is no longer printing the collection, Amazon's current deal is likely the last one as well. Take a closer look at the Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition below.
$105 (was $160) | Replenishment on November 21st.
Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition is a 1080p Blu-ray box set featuring every film in the iconic horror franchise. The classic eight-film storyline – from the 1980 original to 1989's Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan – is joined by the controversial Jason Goes to Hell (1993) and Jason X (2002), the Nightmare on Elm Street crossover Freddy vs. Jason and the 2009 reboot.
Unlike many large box sets, each film comes with its own traditional Blu-ray box with reversible sleeves. There are 13 cases in total, as the two bonus material discs have their own cases. The films and a 40-page booklet with essays and production photos are packaged in the durable case shown above. The case is decorated on all sides with exclusive artwork by Devon Whitehead.
The first four films in the collection are based on Shout Factory's new (at the time) 4K restorations. Shout Factory also restored the mono/stereo audio tracks for the first seven films in the series. The original film consists of two discs: one with restored audio, one with original audio. Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X received new 2K scans based on the inserts.
If you're a big fan of the series, the treasure trove of special features is worth the price of admission alone. Along with all the archival content from earlier Blu-ray and DVD releases, this set includes a host of new audio commentaries featuring the cast and crew. It also features new audio commentary from other directors who have been influenced by the franchise. You'll also find new short films, documentaries and interviews. There are so many special features that there are even more on the last two discs of the box set.
A complete list of special features can be found in the product description section of the Amazon store page.

Update: This deal is temporarily out of stock on Amazon.
When Shout Factory's 12-film box set sells out, fans will still have several Friday the 13th collections to choose from. Paramount's 8-film Friday the 13th Steelbook Collection is available on Amazon for just $23 (was $38). This inexpensive collection was re-released earlier this month (November 11). likely It's no coincidence that the event was sold out after last holiday season. It comes with Blu-ray and digital editions of the classic Friday the 13th story arc.
All six discs are packaged in the same steel case shown above. This collection also includes remastered versions of the first four films in the classic series. The remasters get their own discs, but the back half of the classic series is recorded on two discs. There aren't a lot of special features in this collection, but you do get eight movies on Blu-ray and digital, a nice steel case, and eight art cards for a very low price. The 8-movie Steelbook collection is definitely a bargain. It was originally released in 202.
The Steelbook Collection is actually cheaper than the standard version without the collector's case and art cards. The DVD box set can be purchased for just $14.
