Rap connoisseurs and video game fans are in luck with the announcement that Eminem teams up with your favorite video game series, killer. Players will be able to team up with Eminem to defeat the rapper's alter ego, Slim Shady, in a limited-time event running from December 1st to December 31st.
The press release notes: “Eminem became a superstar thanks to his alter ego, Slim Shady. On his latest album Death of Slim ShadyThe rapper has been trying to get rid of his frustrated other self, but it seems his past continues to haunt him.”
He continues: “Slim Shady has converted his former operating room into a fully equipped broadcast studio, where he performs erratic live performances to a captive audience of staff and prisoners. Players must track him through several interconnected areas, such as a recording studio or a bizarre “group training facility” where he brainwashes doctors into participating in his evil scheme of using music as a weapon.”
The mission follows Agent 47 to a medical facility in Hokkaido, transformed into the chaotic Popsomp Hills Asylum and said to be “filled with psychological, fairytale twists that reflect Slim Shady's fractured reality.”
The event will be available to new players in the free starter pack and as an elusive target for Hitman World of Murder players. It is said to be filled with “Eminem-inspired details”, including a poisoned spaghetti sandwich and a “thrilling performance” by Houdini.
News of the collaboration emerged after the rapper submitted an application lawsuit against Australian swimwear brand Swim ShadyThe rapper's legal team says it creates a false association with the rapper, who trademarked his alter ego's name in 1999.
