8Bitdo has just released a new gray version of their awesome N64 controller, and it's exactly the colorway I've been waiting for. Essentially, this is the same mat that was designed with Analog 3D in memory, but features the same iconic red, blue, green and yellow colors as the OG controller.

If you're impatient like me, you might get the crazy idea of ​​trying to replace the 8Bitdo parts with original buttons. I have plenty of spare ones, so I decided it wouldn't hurt to try. Unfortunately, while the controller looked the part despite missing the gray casing, the buttons are actually a bit taller, meaning they're impossible to use.
