EXCLUSIVE: Canadian filmmakers Kyle Rideout And Josh Epstein installed the following function, fiery skyunder the Motion 58 Productions banner with Nesta Cooper (Drug Thief), Karin Konoval (War for the Planet of the Apes) and Michael Eklund (Wynonna Earp) subscribed to the star.

Described as “black satire”. fiery sky follows inept company employees with secretly nefarious intentions. The project was filmed in and around Vancouver and is currently in post-production.
“We are working with Nesta and Karin on fiery sky It was like watching a couple of firecrackers go off in a library,” Rideout said in a statement. “Nesta is so alive, it’s like she carries sunshine in her pockets, imbuing every scene with that infectious sparkle. And Karin… oh my god, her foul-mouthed Babs is a powerhouse.
Epstein added: “Michael Eklund played a critical role in the success of our first feature film, Edward, so reuniting with him feels full circle. He is one of Canada's most enigmatic, chameleon-like actors.”
fiery sky is the latest collaboration between Rideout and Epstein following their work as co-writers on the hockey drama. Youngblooddirected by Hubert Davis and starring Blair Underwood and Ashton James, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
Casting for fiery sky was led by Chris Woz and Kara Eide, the duo behind Destruction machine.
