Behold the waves of destruction
Eclipse Glow Games has unveiled a new look at its upcoming game. action adventure Tides of Annihilation during the Xbox Partner Preview. The four-minute gameplay trailer provides the most detailed showcase yet of the game's frantic ghostly combat featuring three playable knights, as well as stunning looks at the shifting atmospheric world. The studio also confirmed that the game will support Xbox Play Anywhere in the future.
The trailer takes the action from the ruins of London to the mysterious Otherworld realm of Avalon through a reality-bending transition that echoes the dream narrative. The video, shot entirely from in-game footage, showcases the Dual Frontline Battle system. It also offers the first look at the Mirror World, a fractured dimension built from overlapping mirror realities.
The action reaches its climax when Gwendolyn joins forces with Lamorak, a special ally in this fight, to confront the werewolf boss Tyrono. This episode demonstrates how players can control two characters during large battles, moving in and out of mirrored spaces to unleash powerful and coordinated attacks.
Speaking about the trailer, the game's lead producer Kung Fu described Tides of Annihilation as a reimagining of the Arthurian legend, filled with themes of courage, loyalty and heroism. He noted that the newly released footage provides insight into Gwendolyn's journey. And it also sets the stage for what the studio sees as a bold step forward in the genre.
