Toronto-based indie developer Cococucumber made public Echo Generation 2continuation of it sensational game of 2021 Echo generation.
The announcement was made during the Xbox Partner Preview on Thursday. Echo Generation 2 is a sci-fi turn-based RPG inspired by the mystery stories of the 80s and 90s. In the sequel, players control Jack, a humble father who is transported outside of Canada's Maple Town into a new dimension, forcing him to find his way home.
Interestingly, the sequel takes the more traditional turn-based RPG combat of the original game and turns it into a deck with over 100 unique cards that can be obtained. All this time Echo generation features the same colorful voxel aesthetic as the original game.

And earlier this year, a Canadian developer released Generation Echoes: Midnight Edition, updated version of the main game which adds improvements such as fast travel, improved visuals, support for languages ​​such as French and Spanish.
To celebrate the announcement of the sequel, Midnight Edition currently 65 percent off Xbox and 40 percent discount on Steam until November 25th. Those who already own the base game on Xbox get the new updated version for free.
