TORONTO, Nov. 20, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hong Kong is gearing up to transform its bustling central district into a magical winter wonderland as the city launches an exciting program of seasonal events to cement its reputation as Asia's premier Christmas capital. There are a number of special celebrations throughout the city, with the highlight being the spectacular annual Winter Festival in Hong Kong – Spreading festive excitement throughout Hong Kong from 14 November 2025 to 4 January 2026.
Transforming Central into a Winter Wonderland (November 14, 2025 – January 4, 2026)
“Winter Wonderland in the Center” will bring the joy of Christmas to Hong Kong with an exciting line-up of events. For the first time, Central's iconic landmarks will be transformed into a huge, illuminated exhibition canvas. “Immersive light show in the center”and a 20-meter outdoor Christmas tree will tower above the noisy Christmas town. Nearby Chater Road will be illuminated as Star Boulevard expand the joyful atmosphere, seamlessly connecting with the largest holiday installation in LANDMARK ATRIUM, “Noelia in LANDMARK”is an annual installation that most of Hong Kong eagerly awaits, spreading a joyful atmosphere throughout the area. Together, these events will create a dazzling visual symphony and make Central's night sky sparkle like a string of glittering Christmas tree lights.

This initiative not only improves the recreational experience for local residents and visitors, but also stimulates the seasonal economy. The garden at Statue Square in the city center has been transformed into a Christmas town with the return of everyone's favorite Christmas tree (14 November 2025 – 4 January 2026)
From November 14, the Garden on the Square of Statues in the Center will turn into a joyful Christmas town where visitors of all ages can experience the childlike wonder of winter, as if stepping into the pages of a fairy tale. The city will be filled with classic and colorful toy decorations such as spaceships, dolls and miniature trains. As Christmas approaches, visitors can expect live caroling and surprise appearances from Santa Claus to provide an extra dose of festive cheer. The Christmas market will open on November 28th with 12 festive chalets, offering a range of mouth-watering seasonal delicacies, as well as gifts and workshops for locals and visitors. This will be the perfect place to set yourself up for an unforgettable holiday season.
A brilliant showpiece in the heart Christmas town It will be an outdoor Christmas tree 20 meters high – the height of a six-story building. Wrapped in shimmering ribbons like a giant Christmas present, the magnificent tree will illuminate the entire city with its warm glow. Extending the joyful spirit of Christmas Town, Chater Road will undergo a magical transformation into Star Boulevard. More than 30 trees along Chater Road will be decorated with twinkling lights, creating a festive atmosphere in the yard.. The footbridges will be illuminated and a Christmas tree installation will be suspended above the entrance to Chater House, creating a vibrant visual focal point for the exhibition. Every evening at 5pm these lights transform Chater Road into an outdoor Christmas celebration not to be missed.
Continuing their journey under a golden dome of light, visitors will arrive at “Noelia at LANDMARK” in the LANDMARK ATRIUM. This enchanting 30 meter wide installation with an 11 meter tall lighthouse not only offers plenty of photo-worthy moments for friends and family, but also proudly features Hong Kong's largest interactive wishing lake measuring 12 x 12 meters..
Eight iconic downtown buildings are connected for the first time to present a fabulous “immersive downtown light show” (November 28, 2025 – January 4, 2026)
Another event this year Winter Festival in Hong Kong this is a debut “Immersive light show in the center”. From November 28, eight iconic buildings* around Christmas town will be used for the first time as a huge canvas for a stunning multimedia light and music extravaganza. Using 3D projection, lighting effects and holiday tunes, a series of reindeer, angels, snowmen and gift boxes will be projected onto historic landmarks and modern skyscrapers. Realistic images will playfully jump between trees. Christmas towndancing to seasonal favorites. An immersive sensory experience that will capture the dynamism and energy of Hong Kong's nighttime cityscape.
