Baldur’s Gate 3 Studio Reacts To The Game Awards Nomination: “What The F**k”

nominations for The Game Awards announcedand among the games that received the nod was Larian's Baldur's Gate 3. The RPG was nominated for Best Community Support, marking the second year in a row that the game has been nominated. In response to the news, Running said“What the hell”.

“Honestly, what the hell, thank you guys,” the developer wrote on social media.

Anyone can vote to help Baldur's Gate 3 win this year's award. on the Game Awards website. As previously announced, the winners are determined by a mixture of jury votes (90%) and fan votes (10%). Baldur's Gate 3 won the award for Best Community Support in 2024.beating out games like Final Fantasy XIV, Fortnite, Helldivers 2 and No Man's Sky.

Larian isn't the only studio to post a message in response to the nomination, as CD Projekt Red thanked fans for their support of The Witcher 4, which was nominated for the Most Anticipated Game title.

The Game Awards will take place on the evening of Thursday, December 11th. Among the games vying for the Game of the Year title are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Expedition 33 led the pack this year with a total of 12 nominations, including Game of the Year. With 12 nominations, this makes it the most nominated game in The Game Awards history.

Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei followed with eight nominations each: Hades 2 received six, Hollow Knight five, and Split Fiction four.
