Drifter is one of two new characters added to Risk of rain 2 as part of the Alloyed Collective DLC, and you'll have to unlock it before you can use it in battle.
The exact unlocking process is not easy and consists of several steps. You will also need to purchase the DLC first. This guide will walk you through the exact steps required to unlock and add her as a playable character.
How to unlock the Drifter in Risk of Rain 2 Alloyed Collective
Complete the following steps in the same order to unlock the Drifter.
- Achieve Solus WingThe final boss of Alloyed Collective. This is the hardest fight in the entire expansion, so keep that in mind.
- Once you defeat Solus Wing, you will be able to examine the remains Decisive ghost. There will be an open portal.
- Don't enter the portal, but instead go to the upper part along the cables. You will receive the remains of two allied units on two separate platforms. Interact with both and you will receive the Prison Matrix.
- When you take the Prison Matrix, enemies will appear there and you will have to kill them all.
- Pick up two Prison Matrixes from the Vault and offer them both to unlock the Drifter.
This will complete the Lost in Transit challenge and add the Drifter as a new playable Survivor.
