Microsoft Support runs an X/Twitter account called MicrosoftHelps to help users solve problems, highlight features, and explain technical points. Typically, Windows 11 takes center stage there, as Microsoft wants to showcase the current generation of Windows and spread it further.
However, recently Microsoft support has been focusing on Windows 10. Although Microsoft wants to move away This now unsupported version of the operating system has left many satisfied Windows 10 users loyal. And this is very annoying for Microsoft, which continues to aggressively promote Windows 11.
Here's what happened: in recent messageMicrosoftHelps wanted to highlight the Night Light feature in Windows, which adjusts the screen's color temperature to reduce blue light. It is believed to help relieve eye strain and improve sleep hygiene.
But the GIF used in the post shows the Action Center of Windows 10. As you may know, Windows 11 does not have an Action Center, instead using a separate Quick Settings panel and Action Center. The GIF's alt text reads: “Graphic representation of enabling night light mode on a Windows PC.”
Judging by this GIF, the standard “Windows PC” is still running Windows 10! It is currently unknown why MicrosoftHelps did not use Windows 11 for illustration.
