I really think that for under $700/£700 you can't buy a better laptop unless you really hate macOS. I'm a little biased as I use a MacBook Air M2 myself, in fact I'm using it to write this very article, but this little machine hasn't let me down; I paid the full starting price (around £1600) in the UK, so at under $1000/£1000 it's a real bargain.

So why do I like the MacBook Air M2 even though there are later models out there? Well, its compact size is great for travel, its design looks great even with that display notch, the display fits the LCD panel perfectly, the M2 chips still provide great performance for everyday tasks, and the machine just sucks power, which means I regularly use it away from a power source.
Crap, I even think the MacBook Air M2 is a solid little gaming machine. these days. Actually my problem is I think the MacBook Air M2 might be too goodto the extent that Apple just been repeating it for the last two generations.
