Nebraska coach Matt Rule said he would try keep one of your current players in a post-graduation program. The coach made it clear that he would try to hire defender Jayln Gramstad for a full-time position.
Gramstad came to the program last June and played a veteran defensive role on the junior team. He has six completions on eight attempts for 27 yards and a 75% completion percentage in two seasons.

Having him on staff would be valuable as the quarterback room itself continues to develop. They would be valuable eyes and ears for a young group of defenders looking to blossom.
Before his time at Nebraska, he was a star at Northwestern College in Iowa. In 2023, he threw for 3,681 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushed for 772 yards and eight touchdowns. Now he may be able to continue his career with the Huskers. just in a different capacity.
“I'll try to hire him. I'm not going to pay him much. But I'll try to hire him.”
Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-3, 4-3) will take the field on Saturday, November 22 when they will face Penn State Nittany Lions (4-6, 1-6) at Beaver Stadium. The game will begin at 6:00 pm CT and can be seen on NBC.
