Immerse yourself in the fantasy world of Dungeons & Kingdoms
Dungeons and Kingdoms comes out riding a wave of excitement as Camlann Games and solo developer Uncle Grouch Gaming open the gates to Early Access today. The project combines medieval fantasy kingdom building, management simulation, and third-person dungeon crawling into a single experience. It includes the creation of customizable structures, familiar survival features, detailed control over villagers, and a combat system designed to reward careful exploration.
Interest in the game grew over the course of several months, surpassing two hundred thousand Steam wishlists and rising up the Steam pre-release charts in the days leading up to launch. Current rankings place it among the most viewed upcoming games across all global categories, including general wishlists, strategy wishlists, and releases in the week of November 17th. An Early Access launch trailer is also available for players wanting to see the game in action.
The release begins with two modes. Sandbox mode features the full gameplay loop, including guided learning, basic survival, resource gathering, terraforming, building, village defense, and dungeon adventures. It also includes Steam Workshop support, giving players the opportunity to create their own designs and share their creations with the wider community. Creative mode opens up the world with everything fully accessible, offering free-form building and exploration with no progression restrictions.
Most of the images featured in the official screenshots and trailers are taken directly from Creative mode. The team built an entire kingdom within this mode, spending hours placing buildings, equipping armor and weapons, mounting a horse and climbing a mountain to capture the scene. These features are planned for further development in Sandbox mode, but the full set of tools is already available in Creative mode for players who want to explore all the features from day one. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and build your fantasy kingdom now.
