“With the FIFA Pass, we can make sure that those who buy a ticket and are legitimate football fans or football fans… they will be able to come and attend the World Cup in the best possible conditions – starting with obtaining a visa and then, of course, coming into the country to enjoy,” Infantino said in the Oval Office.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was also in the Oval Office and told reporters that “more than 400 additional consular officers” had been deployed to embassies around the world to process World Cup-related visa requests.
“Our advice to everyone is that if you have a ticket for any game, you need to apply as soon as possible. If you haven't done it as soon as possible, don't wait until the last minute,” Rubio said. “Your ticket is not a visa; it does not guarantee entry into the United States. He guarantees you an expedited meeting.”
