JamieSydney Hardeman's mother told TMZ … her daughter was worried about getting help … because being so open about her situation could ruin her career.
Sydney was a certified pilot and flight instructor and was on track to become a commercial pilot by early next year.
The FAA requires pilots to undergo routine psychological evaluations a couple times a year… and Sydney told her mother that some pilots feel like they can't be honest because they might end up getting arrested. Jamie told TMZ… that she now believes Sydney was talking about her own experience, even though she never said so directly.
We're told Sydney wanted to take the lead in providing the pilots with places to go and people to turn to (without fear of being grounded) before it got too dark.
After her death… the family was overwhelmed by the support from the Hive – and were very touched Tina Knowles' message of love and support.
Jamie tells us the family hasn't heard from Beyoncé herself… but would be deeply touched if they did.
