Indie game studio HALE Gameworks has announced that Playtest registration for Valor Hunters is now available on Steam. Eager players can “Request Access” and have the opportunity to participate in the development process. The test will start from November 21st to 23rd, so be sure to attend. Valor Hunters is a two-stick co-op roguelike with short, repeatable missions lasting between fifteen and twenty minutes. The goal of the game is to create an energetic experience where fast movement, precise aiming and close coordination define every encounter. The game combines the intensity of bullet hell with physics-based teamwork capabilities, creating moments where groups fight their way through crowds of enemies and combine skills in sudden bursts of controlled chaos.
Each Hunter has their own set of abilities, as well as a special interaction skill designed for cooperative play. This focus on interaction gives teams plenty of room to experiment with combinations of procedural maps and random additions. The progression system shifts the focus away from grinding and instead offers playful transformations that change how abilities behave. A simple dash can turn into a blink, and weapon attacks can open up new tactical possibilities.
