President Trump urges House Republicans to vote to release files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epsteininsisting he has “nothing to hide” and accusing Democrats of using the case as a distraction from the GOP's gains.
In a Sunday Truth Social post, Trump called for House republicans vote to release the documents, calling the controversy a “democratic hoax perpetrated by left-wing radical lunatics.”
“As I said Friday night on board Air Force One On the Fake News Media, House Republicans must vote to release the Epstein files because we have nothing to hide and it is time to move on from this Democratic hoax perpetrated by the Radical Left lunatics to distract from the great success of the Republican Party, including our recent victory over the Democratic Shutdown,” Trump wrote.

Trump pointed to the Department of Justice's (DOJ) previous release of thousands of pages of documents related to Epstein.
He also noted that the agency is investigating possible ties between Epstein and “Democratic operatives,” including former President Bill ClintonLinkedIn co-founder Reed Hoffman and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
“The House Oversight Committee can have everything it is legally entitled to, I DO NOT CARE!” Trump said.
He added: “All I care about is for the Republicans to GET BACK ON SPOTLIGHT, which is: the economy, 'affordability' (where we win BIG!), our victory in reducing inflation from the highest level in history to virtually zero, lower prices for the American people, historic tax cuts, getting trillions of dollars of investment into America (RECORD!), rebuilding our military, security of our borderdeporting criminal illegal aliens, ending male participation in women's sports, ending transgender for everyone, and more!”

Trump also argued that if Democrats “had something,” it would have surfaced before last year's presidential election.
“Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive, and if the Democrats had something, they would have released it before we won the election in a landslide,” Trump said. “Some members of the Republican Party are being used and we cannot allow that to happen. Record achievements of the Republican Partyand not fall into Epstein's “trap”, which is actually a curse for the Democrats, not for us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
