As is the case with SNL yesterday, John Oliver discussed the recent release 20,000 new pages of emails from sex trafficker Jeffrey Epsteinin which the president Donald Trump is overwhelmingly mentioned.
The political comedian began his program by linking to one particular email in which the disgraced financier called the US president the worst person he knows, saying he is “dangerous” and that “he doesn't have a single decent cell in his body.”
“Wow, that doesn't look good,” Oliver said, “when even the guy driving the pervert express to crime island thinks that You You’re an asshole who should sting.”
He continued, adding: “I know Trump seems immune to shame, but come on, at some point he's going to look at himself in the mirror and, even if only briefly, think, 'It's no big deal. bad how am I? Captain Freak from the Flying Sex Dungeon thinks I Am I the worst? Damn, that's rude.”
Oliver also criticized media personality Megyn Kelly for what were widely interpreted online as nasty comments in which she insisted Epstein was actually not a pedophile because he liked teenage girls more than younger children.
“I’m obviously no stranger to sharing disappointing numbers with audiences, but please kill me if I ever start doing pedophile math,” he said.
The late-night host then moved on to his main segment of the evening, which focused on the government-funded free and independent public media that has since become destroyed by the Trump administration. Towards the end of the season finale, Oliver announced the series. first ever auction — with the help of guest Joel McHale — is a media benefit that runs through November 24 and includes memorabilia for sale such as a giant bronze cast of Lyndon B. Johnson's testicles, a Russell Crowe jockstrap from Cinderella Man and the original Bob Ross painting “The Sunset Cabin.”
In the most recent update to the saga of the Epstein file and the dramatic turnaround, Trump called House Republicans will vote to release documents during the upcoming congressional referendum on Tuesday.
Last week tonight will return in February 2026.
