But how do we know this and what is the significance? Let's unpack it.

How will episode 4 end?

Episode 4 gives us a glimpse into Pennywise's origin story, as Dick Hallorann (Chris Chalk) dives into the mind of local tribe member Thaniel (Joshua Odjick) and learns the history of the monster the Native Americans in Derry call “Galloo.”

“They found a cave and broke off pieces of the ancient star on which Gallu arrived,” says Taniel. “The plan was drawn up – not to kill him, but to put him in a cage. They used the pieces of his old shackles, the only thing the Gallu feared, to keep our people safe again. The children walked around the western forest, which had been the monster's hunting ground for so long, and buried 13 sacred shards deep into the ground. They lit a fire over each stone to mark its location, a line that the Gallus could not cross. Our people made a sacred promise to guard the pillars and keep them. their places are secret so that the monster locked inside can never break free.”
