The Best Early Black Friday Deals on Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers so Far

Major retail outlets are preparing for another season of Black Friday sales. we will be aware of all these proposals as they appear. Garmin has announced several Black Friday deals that are already live, and Google and Coros have now also confirmed discounts on some of their wearables. In Google's case, it's a sale on Pixel Watch 4 and Fitbit devices, while Coros has announced price cuts on its popular Pace line of watches.

To keep track of prices yourself, consider using these deal tracking tools which can alert you as soon as the price drops and can show you a history of price changes when you think you've found a deal. (Our suggester Daniel Oropeza, who compiled this list, considers CamelCamelCamel one of the best. My personal favorite is Keepa.)

As Black Friday approaches, I'll continue to look for deals on fitness equipment including fitness trackers and smartwatches, so let me tell you about what I'm expecting and hoping to see, as well as the deals that are already live.

Fitness trackers are already on sale for Black Friday

Black Friday is still a couple of weeks away, but the following devices are already discounted in early Black Friday deals.

Pace 3 Choirs

Coros doesn't usually participate in major sales, but the company just released the Pace 4, which costs $249 and which performed well in my review. This means that tempo 3 the price is dropping – starting November 14, the Pace 3 costs $199 instead of $229.

I really like the Pace 3 like a simple but powerful running watch. Another watch worth paying attention to is Pace Probig sister 3 and 4, with a large screen and built-in maps. No other famous watch offers you cards at this price point, and the Pace Pro Also dropped to $299 instead of the previous price of $349. Note that Coros looks set to lower these prices. foreverso this isn't just a Black Friday deal.

Garmin Precursor 165

The 165 is Garmin's modern entry-level watch. No offense to the 55, but it feels like a relic of the past, as evidenced by the fact that it's four years old and has had to wait out two generations of the company's newer models. However, the 165 doesn't seem outdated yet, and our resident marathon runner, Meredith Dietz really liked the music 165. His brother, 165 (same thing, just without offline music storage), did my list of the best affordable running watches.

Since it comes in these two versions, you should pay attention to the differences. The music edition usually costs $50 more. Typically, the version without music storage costs $249, and the version with it costs $299. I previously wrote that I would be watching for another drop to $199.99 like last year's Black Friday sale. Well, it's here! Forerunner 165 costs $199.And Forerunner 165 music costs $249.99..

Garmin Forerunner 265 (surprise!)

If I'm confusing you with all these model numbers, I have an explainer this will help you follow along. Either way, the 265 and 965 are still good watches, and I previously wrote that we can expect over $100 off these two this year. Looks like my wish came true – The 265 currently sells for $299.99. ($150 off) and $965 – $449.99. (also $150 off).

Black Friday Deals I'm Still Hoping to See

Most of my predictions are based on the sales I've seen of these models in the past. As for devices new this year, I look at last year's prices for models that were new at that time. Most of the companies on my list have both new and old models. Here are the prices I'll be looking for to see when I find a good deal.

Apple Watch Series 11: $329 or less

Last year, the Series 10 dropped to $329 on Black Friday. The Series 11 is the newest model this year (see our Assistant Tech Editor). Michelle Ehrhardt's view on this matter is here). The base model has same regular retail price $399 as happened with the Series 10 last year, so a repeat of this discount seems likely. Apple's “production” Watch comes in two sizes and two connectivity options, so I'm concentrating on the smaller model without cellular connectivity. Expect larger sizes to cost $20 more and cellular to cost $100 more.

So, all things being equal, Black Friday this year should bring in around $329 worth of Series 11 deals. Below would be great! It's harder to know what to expect from the Series 10 since it's older. But last year, the older model (Series 9) was available for $219 as part of a Black Friday deal, so I'll be keeping an eye out for equally big 10 discounts this year.

Pixel Watch 4: $279 or less.

The newest version of Google Pixel Watch is 4. which I reviewed here. Google has confirmed that the sale will begin on November 20, allowing customers to “save up to $100 on the Pixel Watch 4.” These watches retail for between $349.99 and $499.99, suggesting a sale price of $249.99 to $399.99 depending on whether you choose the larger or smaller size, with or without cellular connectivity.

What are your thoughts so far?

While we wait for exact prices, I'll tell you what I expect based on past sales. The Pixel Watch 3 dropped to $279 for Black Friday 2024, down from its regular price of $349, so I'm expecting something similar from the 4 this year. Pixel Watch 4 currently at the same starting point US$349 and up. As with the Apple Watch, I'm presenting the numbers for the smaller model without cellular connectivity. The larger size costs $50 more, and cellular capabilities cost $100 more.

If you're interested in purchasing an older model, you're already in luck. As I write this, Select colors of the Pixel Watch 3 retail for $199.99.$100 off regular price. If last year's Pixel Watch 2 sales are any indication, the price of the Pixel Watch 3 could drop to $145.

Garmin Forerunner 970: $699 or less.

The Garmin 970 and 570 have never been on sale before; both were launched earlier this year. Model 970 with maps and LED flashlight has retail price $749. The 570 lacks these two features, but does have it. still a great watch for higher end runningsitting at $549. Will Black Friday bring in the first sales of these watches? I think the odds are good, but I don't expect a huge discount. Last year, the previous models – 265 and 965 – had a $100 discount, but at that time they were a year and a half old. Come back two years when they were newer and the discount was about $50.

Garmin Forerunner 55: $149 or less.

Forerunner Garmin 55 This is the most basic running watch I have mixed feelings about. Granted, it lacks many of the features that other entry-level Garmin Forerunner models like the 165 have. But it does a great job at the basic task of tracking your runs, and I've always felt that if Garmin could bring it closer to $99, I'd be singing its praises from the rooftops. Although he never fell that low.

The original sticker price was $199.99 and is often around $169.99. To date that's equal to the lowest price I've seen in the past, $149.99.. These watches aren't getting any younger, and I think if Garmin is smart they'll consider cutting prices more dramatically this Black Friday.

Fitbit Charge 6: $99 or less.

Google has confirmed that Fitbit charge 6 will be available for $99.95 starting November 20th. This device is priced at $159.95 but often sells for a little less and sometimes drops to around $100. When I first wrote my predictions earlier this month, the Charge 6 was already to $99.95, but it appears this was a temporary drop as the price has risen back to $128.95 as of this writing.

Since this low price came out so early in November, I wondered if a Black Friday deal might bring it down even further, but Google seems to be hinting that $99.95 is as low a price as it gets. Charge 6 not the best option, but it fits the bill basic “I don’t want to think about it” tracker. If you just want to track your steps without having to worry about which model to choose, this is a good choice.
