This week, Jordyn Woods appeared on Open thoughts podcast hosted by comedian and internet personality Fanny Marco.
During the conversation, they talked about Jordyn's boyfriend, NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns, whom she started dating in 2020 after “best friends“for many years.
She was telling Marco how “chill” they were as a couple when Marco mentioned Karl-Anthony's tendency to change his voice “a lot”—something that some people online have even gotten used to. question his masculinity. (Here's the whole video dedicated to his “many voices,” if you want to hear it for yourself.)
Jordyn responded, “I mean it depends on the time of day how he feels when he wakes up.”
Marco then said, “I’m not happy with this.”
Jordan responded, “What’s wrong with you? You're here in a hot dog costume.”
Marco, who was actually dressed as a hot dog as part of his “save the hot dog community” stunt, fell silent when Jordyn asked him again, “What's wrong?”
After an awkward pause, he said: “Yes, it’s not good that KAT changes her voice often.”
“How are you going to tell someone what kind of voice they should have?” Jordyn asked, clearly confused.
Marco said he was just supporting me and then Jordyn asked, “Are are you a fan?”
Marco tried to prove this by answering questions about Carl's career, but things turned awkward again when he suggested that Carl was a “pig with a ball”.
Jordyn responded firmly: “He’s not really a ball guy. Have you watched the games?
Marco said, “Yeah, he scores a lot of points and gets angry.”
Jordyn, seemingly annoyed, replied, “That's because he can shoot.”
Viewers found the exchange extremely awkward – even by Marco's standards – and took to social media to voice their opinions.
One person tweeted“I love her for this. KAT gets a lot of hate and 95% of the time it is completely unfounded. As always, no real reasons or arguments.”
Viral comment with over 20,000 likes. read“She chewed it up with her comment: 'You're sitting here in a hot dog costume.' That silence was LOUD.”
“How will you come back after this?” another said. “She hurt him very much.”
“his brain went into OT for the answer” someone else wrote.
Another tweeted: “Comedian bro became my bad ma'am VERY quickly.”
I'll just leave you with this tweet:
